Positional Consistency

Functional Fitness Kids Coaches have the opportunity to set up youth for a lifetime of confidence, competency and motivation in ALL PHYSICAL endeavours.

Our primary focus is on ‘positional consistency’
We focus on the foundational positions and repeat and embed them PRIOR to adding load or full-range movements.
For example:- Prior to teaching a full range Air Squat - the kids first need to be consistently practising and then mastering the following:-
  • Braced midline and spine (Strong Tree)
  • Foot, ankle, knee position (Footprint in Sand, Knee over ankle)
  • Muscle engagement (Muscle on)

We call these ‘Movement Skills’ - parts and pieces that make up foundational positions

We have 3 levels - BASE, BUILD, BOOST

Kids do not move up to BUILD phase until they have mastered BASE.
