Movement Gaps

WOW, This article about the increasing “Movement Gaps” in children only deepens my passion for providing fun functional fitness classes to give these kids what they are missing out on due to:-
  • Increased early sports specialisation
  • Increased Sedentary lifestyles
  • Lack of unstructured play
  • Lack of outdoor exploration
It's so true, I began my career as a gymnastics coach 30 years ago, then preschool teacher 25 years ago - and the increase I see now in kids being ‘unable’ to do what we would assume are the basics and foundation of movement is shocking. WE NEED to provide them this missing link.
This link below describes 3 children coming to a program from 3 completely different backgrounds all with movement gaps. See if this resonates with you and your child?
Also, in this article see a list of the 6 most common gaps we see in kids joining our program whether they are a super sporty kid or the less co-ordinated naturally.
Please read this article - It will open your eyes :)
